Kathy Vickers
Kathryn Vickers completed her basic and cancer care nurses training at Canberra University. She was the Nurse Manager of a regional Chemotherapy Day Unit for 6 years, and has since spent time as a nurse in a clinical trials unit and as a Cancer Care Coordinator. The C.C.C role has allowed her to see and understand how much cancer affects the whole family and support network of the patient, and how living in a regional area can affect cancer care. Kathy has a particular interest in survivorship issues and Adolescent/Young Adult experiences with cancer. To this end she completed a Graduate Certificate in Adolescent Health and Welfare (University of Melbourne) in 2012 to try and better understand and support families facing cancer.
