Robyn Sharman

Robyn commenced work with Hume RICS in 2006 as a cancer care coordinator after many years working in oncology nursing. One of Robyn's special interests is improving support and providing information for lung cancer patients and raising awareness and understanding of cancer in the local Aboriginal population to assist in breaking down barriers and closing the cancer health gap. Valda is a registered nurse who is currently working with Hume RICS as a project officer on the "lets yarn" Aboriginal project. Valda has worked in many varied roles such as community health, hospital liaison officer and Medicare Local with the "closing the gap" initiative. Valda is the chair of the Albury/Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service and the Aboriginal Community Working Party and is a highly respected member of not only the local Aboriginal community but the wider Albury/Wodonga community .
